Miami Heat: 2 Other Teams Willing to Pay Jimmy Butler Max Money as Contract……

Right now, the Philadelphia 76ers appear to be the Miami Heat’s biggest threat on the Jimmy Butler front. The Sixers reportedly want to make amends for their decision to trade Butler away some five years ago as they look to reunite the six-time All-Star with Joel Embiid.

Apparently, the Sixers are not the only team out there that are going to attempt to steal Butler away from the Heat.

Miami Heat News: 3 Other Teams Contending for Jimmy Butler’s Services

$113 million for two years. That is reportedly the type of contract Butler is now seeking with the Heat as the 34-year-old has made it clear that he feels he is deserving of a max deal. Miami seems to be hesitant to commit this much money to Butler, which has provoked interest from the Sixers.

According to reports, Philly is willing to give Butler the contract he’s demanding. Apparently, at least two other teams out there are also in the same boat. This report comes via Heat insider Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald:

The other two teams were not named, so at this point, it’s anybody’s guess. What this tells us, however, is that the Sixers won’t be alone in their pursuit of Butler should he suddenly become available on the trade market.

This new development places more pressure on the Heat to either cave in to Butler’s contract demands or to cash in on him now while they still can (he can become an unrestricted free agent next summer) via a blockbuster trade deal.
