The 26-year-old offensive powerhouse, Green Bay Packers, surges as the favorite to be included
The Green Bay Packers are entering the 2024 off-season looking to fine tune their roster. The 2023 season proved to be one where the Packers showed the league that they won’t be in a rebuild mode after the Aaron Rodgers trade.
Now the Packers are being named as a prime candidate to add another featured weapon to their offense.
The Packers’ Offense Would Look A Lot Different With Moss
In 2022, the Colts acquired Moss in a trade from the Buffalo Bills. He had the opportunity to start when Jonathan Taylor injured an ankle lat that season. In the season finale against the Houston Texans, he had his first career 100-yard game.
Taylor started the 2023 season on the PUP list, so Moss once again had an opportunity to shine. Despite missing the season opener due to an arm injury, Moss racked up more than 500 yards in his first four games, including 165 yards and two touchdowns against the Tennessee Titans.
Taylor’s return to full speed reduced Moss’ workload, but he still eclipsed his career high with almost 800 rushing yards. As Moss heads into free agency, many are wondering if he can sustain his early-season production over a full season. Complementing Aaron Jones in Green Bay’s backfield may give him that exact opportunity. Espeically if the Packers want to limit Jones’ workload until the post-season.

Green Bay Packers Expected to Cut 3x Pro Bowler David Bakhtiari Soon
It appears that David Bakhtiari’s time with the Green Bay Packers is coming to an end. The three-time Pro Bowl left tackle, who has also made five All-Pro teams (two First Team All-Pros and three Second Team All-Pros) has missed the majority of the last three seasons due to knee injuries. Note: that is the plural form of the word “injury.”
Bakhtiari first injured his knee in a non-contact drill during practice on December 31, 2020. He suffered a torn ACL that cost him the entire 2021 season, except for playing a few snaps in the season finale against the Detroit Lions. Despite returning for that game, he did not play in any of Green Bay’s playoff games that year.
In 2022, Bakhtiari played in 11 out of 17 games to help protect his knee. Leading up to and during the season, more information was provided on why his recovery took so long. Following the initial surgery to repair his ACL, Bakhtiari require several more procedures to drain fluid.
This past season, Bakhtiari played in the Packers’ season opener against the Chicago Bears, and played extremely well. Unfortunately, his knee was injured again and required several more procedures to fix. He missed the remainder of the year. And now, it appears that the Chicago game will end up being his last in a Packers uniform.
