The band’s nonprofit arm, All Within My Hands, has partnered with Save the Children in a bold $5.6 million initiative aimed at combating childhood hunger and improving food security worldwide. The announcement comes at a pivotal time, as global hunger levels continue to rise due to conflict, climate change, and economic instability.
“Music has the power to bring people together—and so does compassion,” said Metallica frontman James Hetfield. “We believe in using our platform to help make the world a better place, especially for children who are facing unimaginable hardships.”

The funds will be distributed to programs in 11 countries across Africa, Asia, and Latin America, supporting school meal programs, emergency food relief, and sustainable agriculture initiatives.
Save the Children CEO Janti Soeripto praised the partnership, calling it a “game-changer” for vulnerable communities. “With Metallica’s support, we can reach more children and families with the resources they need to survive and thrive.”
The band emphasized that this is just the beginning of a longer-term commitment to ending hunger—one concert and one meal at a time.
The metal men of Metallica are about a week away from the start of the latest leg of their tour, but that’s not all that’s going on in the band’s world. Let’s face it: Metallica always have something new and exciting up their collective sleeves. These guys don’t rest on their laurels, and they continue to change how metal bands are perceived across the globe.
Ahead of their tour kickoff, Metallica took to social media to announce some band news, and it has nothing to do with their tour.
