In a wild encounter, three players were binned as three tries inside the first ten minutes of the second half helped the Eels to their second win of the season despite a late Tigers rally.

Earlier, Lachlan Galvin’s first match since being dropped by Wests Tigers has ended in a 22-10 loss to Parramatta.

The 19-year old was busy, forcing three drop outs and setting up a try with a nice cut-out pass, but Western Suburbs were unable to match it with a more experienced Eels side.

Galvin’s plans to depart the Tigers at the end of 2026 have been the biggest story in the sport over the past week, with the teenager’s camp accusing the club of bullying.

The Eels’ favourite son returned in Round 7, taking out this week’s Westpac Red Zone MVP with a scintillating performance to down the Tigers.

Moses then delivered the final pass in the next two Eels four-pointers, putting Isaiah Iongi and Kelma Tuilagi through gaps.

But the icing on the cake? A second tackle kick for a Bailey Simonsson try that secured a victory with five minutes on the clock.

Elsewhere, Dolphins young gun Isaiya Katoa tallied an impressive five try assists, while Blaize Talagi also had his best performance in a Panthers jersey to date.

In terms of the season Daly Cherry-Evans leads the overall standings with the Dragons Kyle Flanagan emerging as a shock contender.
