Rumor Roundup (November 4, 2023): Surprise comeback at Crown Jewel, Bryan injury, Flair AEW deal, and more!
Speculating on pro wrestling rumors is a popular pastime for many fans, maybe second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily feature, we examine the most recent rumors from the pro wrestling rumor mill.
Remember that rumors are just that: rumors. None of this has been proven as reality; it is only floating in the professional wrestling rumor mill. Rumor accuracy is tracked in a weekly feature called Rumor Look Back, which you can find here. Remember to take everything with a grain of salt.
Rumors for the Day:
According to PW Insider, certain WWE wrestlers heard that Kairi Sane would be back at today’s Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia.
BWE responded with “that’s true” to a claim that WWE had arranged a Miz TV segment for Crown Jewel that will involve Grayson Waller and a local celebrity. Insider reports that Waller “is no longer advertised” for WWE’s house shows in the United States this weekend, while F4WOnline confirms that he is now in Saudi Arabia.
Dragon Lee, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, “signed his new main roster deal last week.” When he turned down higher money from AEW to sign with NXT last year, it appears like the risk he took was worthwhile.
According to the Observer, Ric Flair’s contract with AEW is for two years. Flair had attempted to work with WWE on a deal for Wooooo! Energy, but WWE “already had an energy drink deal in place.”
According to Fightful Select, Bryan Danielson has been telling people that his fractured orbital bone was the result of a bizarre accident. During a basic collar-and-elbow tie-up with Andrade, Danielson claims he snagged a stray elbow or forearm.
Marty Jannetty told WrestlingNews.co’s Steve Fall that Hulk Hogan once threw a wild party that featured a gumball machine filled with mixed drugs: “…you’d turn it, and you’d take whatever comes out…it’s right there when you walk in the front door, and just [turn it], and three, four, five pills just fall out.”
