LeBron James, Savannah James, Rich Paul, Damian Lillard, And Bam Adebayo Attended The Aces-Liberty Game
The Las Vegas Aces took on the New York Liberty in a rematch of the 2023 WNBA Finals on Saturday and as you might expect, a host of big names were in attendance for the titanic clash. Among them were LeBron James, Savannah James, Rich Paul, Damian Lillard, and Bam Adebayo, who all sat together courtside.
This was the second high-profile game that LeBron, Savannah, and Paul have attended in the last month or so. They were in attendance for Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Boston Celtics on May 13.
LeBron had also attended Game 1 of the Finals between these teams last year. The 39-year-old has a great relationship with A’ja Wilson, who had helped the Aces clinch their second-straight WNBA championship with a 3-1 series win over the Liberty. In this rematch, though, the tables were turned.
The Liberty beat the Aces 90-82 for their eighth straight win and improved to 12-2 on the season. Jonquel Jones led the way with a game-high 34 points and LeBron congratulated her and her teammates after the game.
While the Liberty are on a roll, the two-time defending champions are not. This was the Aces’ fifth defeat in the last seven games and they have now dropped to 6-6 in 2024. They had only lost six games in the entire 2023 regular season, so it has been quite the rough start. You would back them to steady the ship at some point, though.
As for Lillard and Adebayo, they are great friends who have shown plenty of support for the WNBA over the years, so it wasn’t a surprise to see them here together. In an ideal world, they would probably be teammates as well at this point, but the Miami Heat were unable to pull off a trade for Lillard last year.
LeBron James On Attending The Game With Savannah James
LeBron took to Instagram during the Aces-Liberty game to celebrate his wife. He had put an imaginary crown on top of Savannah’s head when they appeared on screen and shared a picture of that moment with a wonderful caption.
“Crown her! Ayyyyyeeee.”
A while later, LeBron posted another story where he called Savannah one of his best friends.
“Smiling/laughing with your best friends goes a long fkn way!!”
