Brisbane Broncos break silence amid bombshell domestic violence investigation into star player

The Brisbane Broncos has broken its silence over allegations one of its players was involved in a domestic violence incident on Sunday.
The club confirmed it was made aware of a matter involving a player, which they referred to the NRL Integrity Unit.
‘The health and wellbeing of all parties is paramount for our club, and support has been offered to those involved,’ a spokesperson for the club said.
‘At this stage, the Club is not in a position to comment further.’
No charges have been laid.
A NRL spokesperson said they were aware of the matter and were liaising with the Broncos.
A Queensland Police spokesperson told NewsWire that police were investigating a domestic violence report relating to an incident in Brisbane’s south on Sunday.
‘Investigations into this matter are ongoing,’ the spokesperson said.
‘No arrests have been made and no one is in custody over the incident.’
The Roosters will be looking to bounce back from a narrow defeat in Round 1.
John Strange has shuffled a few players, most notably Captain Isabelle Kelly who will move into five-eighth, opening up the fullback position for the return of Samantha Bremner.
Jayme Fressard will move to the wing, with Jess Sergis and Jasmin Strange the centres.
