Breaking News: New York Jets HC Robert Saleh Busted in Bombshell Report

REPORT: New York Jets HC Robert Saleh Exposed in Bombshell Report

The New York Jets had a disappointing 2023 NFL season. They finished with a mere record of 7-10 and had a lot of questions heading into the offseason. One of those questions was whether they would retain head coach Robert Saleh. Well, a recent report revealed that Saleh had that subject on his mind and more.

Job Insecurity

According to a report from The Athletic, Jets head coach Robert Saleh felt very insecure about his job status for 2024. This was especially the case after starting QB Aaron Rodgers tore his Achilles. As a result, the Jets had a quarterback carousel for the rest of the season. Plus, they had a tough time winning with that carousel.

The report indicates that Saleh saw himself as a victim. He compared himself to defensive coordinator Vic Fangio. Saleh felt like he could relate to Fangio because the latter had trouble finding a stable quarterback during his tenure with the Denver Broncos. As a result, Fangio only lasted three seasons as their head coach.

Shutting Down Leaks

New York Jets Zach Wilson to the Minnesota Vikings?

There was one incident earlier this season that Saleh wanted to address. This was when Zach Wilson looked like he was going to have to be the starting QB again after he was benched. However, a leak revealed that Wilson was hesitant to take the starting QB job back.

This supposedly sent Saleh on a warpath. He wanted to get to the bottom of these supposed leaks. As a result, he confronted several other members of the Jets’ coaching staff.

It got to the point where Saleh wanted to confiscate the cell phones of members of the coaching staff to see who was leaking this information. He tried to tell these coaches if they came forward immediately, no one would get in trouble.

However, the leak likely ended up being backup QB Tim Boyle. At least this is who Jets fans believe it was. A big reason why this rumor gained traction was because Boyle was waived by the Jets shortly after this leak.

The New York Jets will be looking to run it back with Rodgers and Saleh in 2024. Saleh’s record has been disappointing since he took the head coach position in 2021. As a result, expect him to start next season on the hot seat, with fans looking for immediate results.
