Cowboys vs. Seahawks: The Standout Players in the Exciting 41-35 Victory

Cowboys vs Seahawks: Standout Stars of the Thrilling 41-35 Victory ✭ Inside The Star

While the rest of the NFL is getting ready for gameday, the Dallas Cowboys have already completed their Week 13 business.

It wasn’t nice, but seeing Dak Prescott and the offense shoulder the weight on Thursday night was thrilling.

Dallas, playing their third game in 12 days and fourth in 18 days, appeared exhausted on defense.

They put up a season high in points allowed in AT&T Stadium, but won by a score of 41-35 to improve to 9-3.

Seattle (6-6) was struggling to turn around their season, and it showed.

The trio of wide receivers at QB Geno Smith’s disposal exploited a tired Cowboys defense that seemed a half-step behind all night.

DaRon Bland in particular had one of his worst games of the season, as all three Seattle wide receivers took turns putting him in the spotlight.

The Seattle Seahawks’ stars shone brightly on Thursday night, but the Dallas Cowboys’ stars shone brightly as well.

Today, I’d like to wrap up Week 13 with a nice blue and silver bow, rounding out the week with my list of noteworthy players from Thursday’s 41-35 win against the Seahawks.

This is the lowest hanging fruit, but how can I leave Dak Prescott off the list?

He will continue to be included in this segment until a week comes along where he does not deserve to be recognized.

With the way he’s been playing lately, readers should get used to seeing him in every standout stars story.

In any case, isn’t it entertaining to bring up Prescott’s stats to all the skeptics out there?

Prescott concluded the game by completing 29/41 (71%) for 299 yards and three touchdowns.

He was one yard shy of reaching 300 yards for the fourth time in the last six games.

Prescott made play after play, even when he had to use his legs.

Dak equaled his season high with seven rush attempts. They only went for 23 yards, but one of them was a crucial first down.

His numbers could have been even better if his pass catchers hadn’t dropped passes at inopportune times.

CeeDee Lamb, the top wide receiver, had a handful of those. When it comes to Lamb…

CeeDee Lamb, the Cowboys’ standout wide receiver, is on a roll.

Prescott targeted him 17 times, and he caught 12 of them for 116 yards and a touchdown.

Lamb has looked like a top-three wide receiver this season, despite widespread criticism that he didn’t belong in the conversation as one of the game’s best.

After the humiliating 42-10 loss to the 49ers, the latest 88 expressed his disgust with his involvement.

Lamb has been a key component of Mike McCarthy’s offense since then.

CeeDee has now had double-digit receptions, over 100 yards receiving, or a touchdown in seven consecutive games.

As with Dak, Lamb’s numbers may have been considerably better if not for two significant decreases.

He can’t really be blamed for the first one. Prescott threaded the needle through the endzone defenders, and the ball was in Lamb’s hands in a flash.

The second drop was entirely Lamb’s fault, and he was the first to accept it on the field, as it came on a critical fourth down late in the game.

Next up for Lamb is an Eagles defense that he torched in Week 9 to the tune of 11 receptions for 191 yards.

For the first time this season, second-year tight end Jake Ferguson makes my list of notable players.

Ferguson is absolutely hurdling over Seahawks S Quandre Diggs in the photo above, which doesn’t show his jersey number.

Ferguson’s outstanding hurdling abilities led the Seattle defender clutching the ghosts of his deceased ancestors.

Forget about stats for a moment and praise Ferguson for the attitude he brought to this game.

Since before the game began, the Seattle secondary, specifically Jamal Adams, had been chirping at the Dallas offense.

Ferguson was constantly involved in post-game scuffles and heated words for Dallas, providing the return fire.

Ferguson, I feel, nearly single-handedly provided the juice required for the Cowboys to respond appropriately and win the game.

Ferguson had six receptions for 77 yards and a spectacular touchdown catch against Seattle S Jamal Adams in single coverage.

The most astounding aspect of the 77 yards is that 60 of them were YAC (yards after catch).

Ferguson set a career high, and his strong after-catch abilities helped Dallas move the chains on multiple occasions.

Ferguson is quickly emerging as one of the league’s top tight end playmakers, which bodes well for Prescott and the offense.
