Tottenham are interested in a 26-year-old defender who has just kept six consecutive clean sheets.

Tottenham Hotspur have revived their interest in Gleison Bremer ahead of the January transfer window, according to reports.

According to the Italian publication Calciomercato, Tottenham “remain on the lookout” for the Juventus defender.

In addition to Tottenham, Chelsea and Manchester United are interested in Bremer, who has been a standout for the Serie A heavyweights.

Spurs have found themselves in a defensive dilemma, highlighting a lack of depth in their ranks.

Micky van de Ven strained his hamstring against Chelsea on Monday night, and Cristian Romero is suspended.

With that in mind, Tottenham Hotspur may try to expand its ranks in January in order to sustain their momentum towards a top-four finish.

Meanwhile, Bremer has gone from strength to strength at Juventus, building a reputation for himself.

His efforts have helped the Bianconeri keep six consecutive clean sheets in Serie A, and eight in total this term.

Bremer was named Serie A Defender of the Year in 2022, and he was named to their Team of the Season last season.

Bremer’s numbers were compared to Virgil van Dijk and Ruben Dias by scouting outlet Foot The Ball last summer.

He’s an outstanding ball presser, excels at recovery, interceptions, and aerial duels, and is dangerous on the other end of the field.

Bremer, according to FTB, is a “true Serie A defender.” He can easily tackle, intercept, and clear the ball.’

In terms of Tottenham links, Bremer works for the same agency that represents five Tottenham first-team players.

Along with the “incredible” defender, Son Heung-min, James Maddison, Richarlison, Pedro Porro, and Pape Matar Sarr are with CAA Base.
