NRL injury list 2024: Your club’s medical news, casualty ward, player return dates, BRISBANE BRONCOS

The 2024 NRL season is rolling along at a rapid pace, and a host of injuries to key players are rocking the competition.

Nathan Cleary and Tom Trbojevic have suffered hamstring injuries which have caused havoc for their sides and their state, while AJ Brimson is also facing a lengthy spell out.

The Broncos are having to do without their playmaker Adam Reynolds, while the Raiders and Warriors are having to deal without their halfbacks too.

Ryan Papenhuyzen and Cameron Murray have been sidelined for extended periods, while Cameron Munster has joined them in the casualty ward after limping off in Magic Round.

Tino Fa’asuamaleaui and Tom Gilbert have been ruled out for the season with ACL injuries, while Kalyn Ponga is due back later in the year after suffering a foot injury.

Broncos injury news:

Kotoni Staggs was ruled out last week after fracturing a rib in Magic Round. The centre is scheduled to return after the club’s bye.

Tristan Sailor will be sidelined for around a month with an ankle issue he suffered in reserve grade.

Jesse Arthars exited his team’s Round 9 match early with a broken jaw. He is expected to return in Round 16.

Adam Reynolds suffered a ruptured biceps against the Roosters in Round 9 and despite fears his season may be over, the halfback is set to return a few weeks before finals.

Ben Te Kura‘s season could be over after suffering a Lisfranc injury. He has been ruled out indefinitely.

Raiders injury news: 

Josh Papalii has served a one-match ban for a dangerous contact charge and will return this week.

Jamal Fogarty had surgery after rupturing his biceps against the Broncos in Round 7. He will be out for between 12-14 weeks.

Zac Hosking has been sidelined with a dislocated shoulder since Round 6. He could spend up to three months out.

Corey Horsburgh suffered a groin injury in Round 5 and remains sidelined.

Pasami Saulo was ruled out in Round 9 due to a lower back injury with the forward out indefinitely.

Corey Harawira-Naera‘s future remains clouded. Ricky Stuart claimed the forward was facing early retirement after suffering a seizure last season.

Bulldogs injury news: 

Chris Patolo limped from the field in the opening minute of his side’s Round 7 clash against the Knights with an MCL injury. He is expected to return in Round 14.

Viliame Kikau will be ruled out for around one month after requiring surgery on a fractured finger.

Karl Oloapu will miss the entire season with a serious neck injury.

Sharks injury news:

Nicho Hynes suffered an issue with his calf during his side’s horror loss to the Panthers in Round 12. He has been included in the NSW team for the Origin opener and is currently expected to play.

Braden Hamlin-Uele has missed the past two rounds due to a knee injury but is back on deck this week.

Toby Rudolf is set to return after being sidelined with a knee injury since Round 9.

Jesse Colquhoun suffered a foot injury in Cronulla’s final trial and is out indefinitely.

Dale Finucane suffered a fractured eye socket in Round 3 in what proved to be his final game in the NRL, as he announced his retirement ahead of Round 8.

Sea Eagles injury news: 

Toula Koula missed last week due to a shoulder injury with his current return date yet to be confirmed.

Tom Trbojevic limped from the field in Round 10 with a hamstring injury and will miss roughly seven weeks in a massive blow to the Sea Eagles and the Blues.

Matthew Lodge suffered a biceps injury during his side’s loss to the Broncos in Round 10 and is facing another extended period of time on the sidelines.

Lachlan Croker suffered a neck injury in Round 9 and remains sidelined indefinitely.

Storm injury news: 

Will Warbrick suffered a groin injury during Melbourne’s loss to Manly in Round 12.

Ryan Papenhuyzen limped from the field in Round 9 with what was later confirmed to be a small fracture to the fibula. He wis expected to return after the bye.

Cameron Munster reeled out of a tackle after aggravating a groin injury during his side’s win over Parramatta at Magic Round. Scans have since confirmed he suffered a tear in the adductor tendon. He will miss 8-10 weeks.

Jonah Pezet suffered an ACL injury while playing in reserve grade and has been ruled out for the remainder of the year.
