Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo Praise Terry Rozier For Electric Fourth Quarter Against Cavaliers

Miami Heat guard Terry Rozier scored 11 points in the fourth quarter against the Cavaliers

There’s no denying that guard Terry Rozier is finding his rhythm with the Miami Heat, which is leading to praise from some of his top teammates.

Star Jimmy Butler played a crucial role in Wednesday’s win over the Cleveland Cavaliers alongside the 30-year-old guard. Rozier recorded 24 points and two assists on 50 percent shooting while Butler finished with 30 points and four steals on efficient shooting.

Terry put on a show, man. When half the arena is there to see you, you gotta come out and do your thing,” Butler said. “But I’m just proud of our guys for coming out and fighting a couple of men down and compete and get one on the road, which we definitely needed.”

Rozier’s most notable moments were within the final minutes of the game. He drilled a three-pointer through contact, resulting in a four-point play. He followed up that momentum-shifting play with a step-back shot from the arc to give the Heat a lead.

All-Star center Bam Adebayo was forced to watch Rozier’s performance from the sideline due to back issues but had no problem crediting him.

“Terry made big plays today, him and Jimmy definitely put the ball in the basket,” Adebayo said. “But that shot at the end of the game,I told him he was trying to be like me.”

Adebayo is making reference to his game-winning three-pointer against the Detroit Pistons on Sunday.

Jarrett Allen Records Second 20-20 Game Of Season, Cavs Fall To Heat

The Cleveland center scored a team-high 25 points and grabbed a game-high 20 rebounds in the Cavaliers’ 107-104 loss to Miami on Wednesday night.

Entering Wednesday night’s game, Cleveland Cavaliers center Jarrett Allen had averaged just 5.0 points and 6.5 rebounds per contest in two meetings against the Miami Heat this season.

He did not record double-digit points or rebounds in either game.

But both of these numbers received a massive boost in Cleveland’s 107-104 defeat to Miami on Wednesday night.

Allen recorded his second 20-20 game of the season, scoring a team-high 25 points and grabbing a game-high 20 rebounds, while also tallying three assists. He shot an efficient 10-for-13 (76.9%) from the field and 5-for-6 (83.3%) from the free-throw line.

This was his first 20-20 game since December 27, when he totaled 24 points and 23 rebounds in a comeback victory against the Dallas Mavericks.

According to Stathead, this is Allen’s fifth career 20-20 game, and third as a Cavalier. He is now tied with Andre Drummond and Elmore Smith for the second-most 20-20 games in franchise history. Only Cliff Robinson (four) has more in a Wine and Gold uniform.

After the contest, Cleveland Head Coach J.B. Bickerstaff commented on how Allen has grown as a player this season.

Up next, the Cavaliers will begin a two-game road trip with a matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday night at 8 p.m.
