The Heat will look to avoid a 0-2 hole against the Celtics on Wednesday night when they play Game 2 of their first-round series in Boston. The road to evening up the playoff series at 1-1 won’t be easy with key names including two starters remaining out of the lineup.

Jimmy Butler (MCL sprain) and Josh Richardson (shoulder surgery) remain out and will miss the entire series. Terry Rozier traveled with the Heat to Boston after missing Game 1 with the neck injury but his status has not improved and the team has already ruled him out for Game 2. On the good news front for the Heat, Duncan Robinson has already been deemed available after being listed as questionable for Game 1. Luke Kornet (calf) remains the only Celtics player sidelined for Game 2.

Heat coach Erik Spoelstra gave no definite update on Rozier’s status but multiple reports out of Miami hinted they would not be surprised if Rozier sits out the entire series. He has missed seven straight games overall after suffering the injury in early April. Butler remains away from the team as he continues his recovery.

Robinson scored five points in 15 minutes off the bench in Game 2 but told reporters at Tuesday’s practice he does not expect to be 100 percent until he has more time to recover.

Despite the key absences, Jaylen Brown expects the Heat to come out with a renewed focus after Boston’s blowout win in Game 1.

“We gotta come out with the same mentality, almost like we’re down 1-0 instead of we’re up,” Brown said Tuesday. “We gotta come ready to play, ready to fight because we can’t expect them to come out and do nothing less. They’re well-coached. They’re organized. They’re disciplined. They’re going to have a good game plan of attack. We gotta make sure we take them out of it.”

The Celtics and Heat tip off Game 2 at 7 p.m. on Wednesday night at TD Garden.

Celtics injury report: Only 1 player listed for Game 2 vs. Heat

Luke Kornet

While the Heat continue to nurse some key injuries, the Celtics are virtually at full strength ahead of Game 2 of the first round. For the second straight game, only one player is listed on the injury report. Otherwise, the Celtics are at full strength.

Luke Kornet is listed as out with his right calf strain, making that his second straight game he will miss. C’s coach Joe Mazzulla didn’t sound like it was a serious injury for the big man as he hurt his calf last week during practices. Kornet had a solid regular season and was counted upon occasionally for the rotation. But the C’s have depth in front and behind Kornet, so they’ll look to keep adding to the win column.

Notably, Jayson Tatum isn’t on the injury report after his hard fall late in Game 1. But the C’s star popped right back, though his teammates did stand up for him. The Celtics themselves have also shrugged off the play, saying it wasn’t intentional, but that physical plays like that happen in the playoffs.

On the flip side, the Heat will continue to be without Jimmy Butler, who’s nursing an MCL injury that will keep him out weeks. Former Celtics guard Terry Rozier also won’t play in Wednesday’s Game 2.

The Celtics are looking for a 2-0 series lead on the Heat as heavy favorites. They easily downed the Heat in Game 1 by knocking down 22 3-pointers and getting out to a huge lead. While the Heat did come back to make the score somewhat respectable, it still went down as a 20-point win. But the Heat have a chance to steal a game in Boston heading into Games 3 and 4 in Miami.
