After securing a 108-105 win against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday evening, Chet Holmgren, the esteemed player from the Oklahoma City Thunder, humorously directed his attention towards the NBA, their diligent scorekeepers, and meticulous statisticians.
During the game, Holmgren impressively accumulated 16 points, 13 rebounds, two assists, and seven blocks. However, despite his noteworthy performance, he couldn’t help but feel that he was not given due credit.
The rookie’s impressive seven rejections have established a new franchise record for blocks in the Thunder organization, which is definitely an achievement worth acknowledging for Holmgren. Nevertheless, despite a challenging beginning to the season, Holmgren desired greater results and is determined to ensure accurate statistical representation from the NBA.
@nba please go watch the tape and give me the correct # of blocks. Idc about stats but I worked hard af for those😂 good W thunder up lol

Both Holmgren and fans of Oklahoma City believe that he should be given recognition for not only one, but several additional blocks against the Cavaliers. It is uncertain whether the league will make any changes to the statistics in response to the light-hearted protest.
The young Holmgren, at the age of 21, was selected as the second overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft. However, he was unable to play in his first season due to a Lisfranc injury. Now that he has fully recovered, he is determined to demonstrate to the basketball world why he was highly regarded in college.
On Sunday, Holmgren will have the opportunity to increase his number of blocks and rebounds when the Oklahoma City team hosts the Denver Nuggets at the Paycom Center.
