Update: Seamus Coleman will play for the Under-21s as Dele Alli and Andre Gomes are ruled out of the Everton vs. Brighton match.
Everton will be without Seamus Coleman, Dele Alli, and Andre Gomes for this weekend’s Premier League match against Brighton.
Coleman is being eyed up to get some game time for the Under-21s this weekend to build up his fitness ahead of an eventual first-team return, while Dele is still a way away despite being back on the grass now while Gomes continues his recovery from a calf problem.
“Seamus is going well,” he stated. “He’ll hopefully get some game time this weekend with the Under-21s.” He requires game time.
“Dele has some time left.” He’s just returned to the grass, but he’s in a good mood. Andre has been quite disappointed; he has a nagging calf ailment that he is working through.”
Brilliant
Everton have finally found some terrific form, which is only fair given the performances we put in during some of our losses this season.
Five wins in the last seven games in all competitions has provided the team some breathing room, but more importantly, it has significantly improved the attitude around the club and the players’ confidence.
They can see the ideas of the manager working and with injured players returning and our top players finding their best form at the same time, there is no reason we can’t claim three points in every game right now.
With Seamus Coleman getting closer to a return to fitness we’re only getting stronger too, and Dyche has got a great squad to choose from that know exactly what he expects to see week in and week out.
It’s a great chance to continue our momentum against Brighton at Goodison Park on Saturday and really start to pull away from the relegation zone as early as we can.
