Huge Shocker: De Zerbi Clears the Air on his Stance regarding Brighton exit and gets Ruthlessly Real on Promising Destination, in his words; Brighton ‘won’t get in the way’ of big summer exit…..

Italian reports suggest Roberto De Zerbi is looking increasingly likely to leave Brighton in the summer, with clubs like Liverpool and Chelsea interested in securing his services.

The 44-year-old Italian tactician has continued impressing with the Seagulls this term, exciting the fans on the south coast with his thrilling brand of attacking 4-2-3-1 football, a system that produces incredibly high highs like the 4-2 win over Tottenham and low lows like the 4-0 loss to Roma.

Brighton are in a good spot heading into the final months of the season, despite suffering elimination from the Europa League, as they’re in the thick of the fight for European qualification in the Premier League. In the background, De Zerbi has been heavily linked with top clubs around the continent.

La Gazzetta dello Sport details how De Zerbi is looking increasingly on track to leave Brighton at the end of the season, feeling ready to try his hand at one of the top clubs in Europe. A long list are keen on a move, including Liverpool, Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Barcelona.

Following the Europa League exit at the hands of Roma, the tactician told reporters in Italian: “Let’s see if we can reach an important goal again, then next year whoever is here will think about how to improve on this season,” seemingly hinting at his departure from the club in the summer.

De Zerbi currently earns a salary of around €5m net per season with Brighton and has a €13m release clause in his contract. Out of respect and appreciation, the Seagulls will not try to force the tactician to stay should top clubs come calling.

Brighton ‘won’t get in the way’ of big summer exit – Latest comments seen as ‘farewell words’

Brighton and Hove Albion will not stand in Roberto de Zerbi’s way this summer, with a growing belief he will be moving on from the club.

That’s according to Gazzetta dello Sport, who say the manager’s recent comments have been seen as ‘farewell words’ by his suitors.

The newspaper cover comments from the Italian boss today, after he claimed that the focus is now on the last ten games of the season and then “whoever is there will think about how to improve this season.”

That message is not ‘difficult to decode’ according to Gazzetta, who believe it is a sign of De Zerbi’s plan to depart.

They say he has interest from Manchester United, Chelsea, Bayern, Liverpool and Barcelona thanks to his work with the Seagulls, even after their heavy defeat to Roma in the Europa League.

For now, he is focused on finishing the season with Brighton but the ‘bitterness’ of their European failure remains with him and could push him towards the exit.

The growing belief inside the Premier League is that Brighton have ‘become too narrow’ for what De Zerbi has become as a manager. In other words, he’s quickly outgrown them.

Their adventure in Europe has shown the limitations of their continued selling off of talent, which has often been replaced by more talent rather than ready-made players, and thus could see De Zerbi leave for a more ambitious, ready-made project.

Brighton are coming to accept this and ‘won’t get in the way’ of the Italian departing, presumably only if his €13m release clause is met by any of his suitors.
