Denver Nuggets: Draymond Green Hits Rudy Gobert With Brutal Nikola Jokic Reality

There’s a pretty good reason why Denver Nuggets big man Nikola Jokic has won three MVPs in his career. And according to Draymond Green, there’s also a reason why he’s besting Rudy Gobert and the Minnesota Timberwolves in their series against them.

Over the course of 79 games this season, the Joker has consistently put up a great show for the Nuggets. During that stretch, the Nuggets All-Star averaged 26.4 points on 58 percent shooting from the field, 12.4 rebounds, 9.0 rebounds, and 1.4 steals.

Jokic’s MVP-worthy season helped Denver clinch the second seed. They also earned the right to face LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round. Much like their previous showdown last year, the Nuggets effortlessly took care of business against LA and eliminated them in five games.

Unlike the Lakers, though, the Minnesota Timberwolves proved to be a fiercer opponent in the first two games they played against them. The Anthony Edwards-led team utilized their collection of bigs in the roster to minimize Jokic’s impact, leading them to get an early 2-0 lead against the defending champions.

However, the Nuggets bounced back and won three straight games against Minnesota. Thanks to Jokic imposing his will on them and the Timberwolves themselves failing to respond, Denver is now one win away from returning to the Western Conference Finals.
