Recent reports have said that players such as Zach LaVine, Alex Caruso, and DeMar DeRozan could be shipped elsewhere in the league as the Bulls begin a rebuilding process.

According to Sam Amick, via NBACentral, The Miami Heat and New York Knicks are “preferred trade destinations” for DeRozan.

“When it comes to possible destinations, the Heat and Knicks are known to be preferable to DeRozan if he winds up getting moved,”

Amick reported.

According to Sam Amick of The Athletic, if DeMar DeRozan is moved this season, he would like to join the New York Knicks or the Miami Heat.

This study assumes that the Bulls will blow things up before the trade deadline since they are going nowhere fast and no one on the club appears to enjoy being on the team.

The New York Knicks have had a strong start to the season, but it’s evident that the squad is lacking in offensive firepower.

Trading for DeRozan would provide the Celtics with a much-needed scoring boost ahead of a potential postseason push.

The Heat would most certainly trade for the All-Star to make up for all of the studs that the franchise missed out on during the previous offseason.

Because he is an elderly veteran with a poor 3-point shot, New York would most likely not have to give a large package for the scoring machine.

While it looks like the Bulls will finally be sellers at the trade deadline, teams around the league have been more interested in trading for DeMar DeRozan or Alex Caruso than Zach LaVine. If that happens, DeRozan would prefer to be traded to New York or Miami, reports Sam Amick of The Athletic.

In Miami, he provides another shot creator and clutch scoring option on a team that does not shy away from DeRozan’s preferred midrange jumpers — with DeRozan, the Heat would be a bigger threat to the Celtics and the rest of the top of the East.

With LaVine making $28.6 million this season no trade is going to be easy to pull off, the Bulls are going to have to take back salary and — if they are starting a rebuild — they will want picks and good young players (maybe Immanuel Quickley from New York or Austin Reaves from the Lakers).

Instead of wasting their assets on DeMar, the Knicks would be better served waiting for the next All-NBA quality talent to become available.

With each loss, trade whispers grow louder, and it appears that it is only a matter of time before the main players find new homes for their NBA careers.

As the first quarter of the 2023-2024 NBA season comes to a close, DeMar DeRozan has been the subject of numerous trade speculations.

Basketball fans will be aware that DeRozan is a star with the Chicago Bulls, having been moved from the San Antonio Spurs.

Given the Bulls’ roster talents such as DeMar DeRozan, Zach LaVine, and Nikola Vucevic, this is obviously a frustrating position for them.

Stars on teams that struggle to start the NBA season become the subject of trade rumors. Especially experienced stars like DeMar who are nearing the twilight of their careers.

As a result, when questioned about a prospective destination, he mentioned the Miami Heat and the New York Knicks.

Among all the Bulls-related trade rumors over the past few seasons, Zach LaVine has been involved in more when compared to DeRozan.

In the event that the Bulls decide to trade DeRozan, they will undoubtedly wonder about the package they will receive in return from the Knicks, Heat, or any other team.

Although a 6-14 start to the season doesn’t look too good, the Bulls should also remember that their team is dealing with a lot of injuries and not at full strength.
