Detroit Lions GM Brad Holmes Attends Alabama Pro Day
Detroit Lions general manager Brad Holmes does not typically attend many draft prospects pro days, but one Southeastern Conference school drew the attention of several NFL GM’s and head coaches. According to reports, five general managers attended the pro day at Alabama, including from the Lions, Steelers, Bills, Titans and Packers. Head coaches from the Raiders, Cowboys, Steelers and Titans were also spotted observing the workouts of several type draft prospects that played for the Crimson Tide.
Cornerback Kool-Aid McKinstry caught the attention of everyone in attendance, as he was able to clock a speedy 4.43 to 4.47 40-yard dash time that was hand-timed. “It was just very weird to me because I honestly didn’t feel any pain in my foot.
There’s no telling how long it’s been there, how long I’ve been playing on it,” McKinstry said. “So, it was a stone there and it was just something I had to step over to continue with my life.
God has a plan for me and I’m following that plan day in and day out.” With Cam Sutton’s spot on the Lions’ roster potentially in jeopardy, adding a player of McKinstry’s talent level could bode well for Detroit’s secondary.
I just feel like I can do it all,” said McKinstry. “Whether that’s playing outside corner, in the slot. I can move very well, I got the speed to guard whoever. Just my mentality, how consistent I am as an athlete, my consistency in my day-to-day life is just differ
