Analyst Says Jimmy Butler’s Days In Miami ‘Are Over’
The Miami Heat have had a solid run with Jimmy Butler.
Ever since he joined the team in 2019, they made it to the NBA Finals twice, with another trip to the Eastern Conference Finals.
That’s particularly impressive if you consider the fact that Pat Riley has failed to pair him with more talent, and while Bam Adebayo is one of the best defenders in the game, he’s not the offensive sidekick he needs to get over the hump.
Nonetheless, all good things eventually come to an end, and we might reach the end of Butler’s time in South Beach.
At least, that’s how ESPN NBA analyst Alan Hahn seems to think.
Talking on Get Up, he assured viewers this was the end of the Butler era for the Miami Heat.

He thinks Pat Riley’s public jabs at Butler were a sign of what was coming.
But more than that, he believes that Daryl Morey will be very aggressive in trying to get him back to Philadelphia.
The Philadelphia 76ers low-balled Butler back in 2019, with Butler infamously calling them out for choosing Tobias Harris over him.
He wound up signing with the Heat, but he’s stayed quite close to Joel Embiid.
Also, with the Heat reportedly on the fence about giving Butler the max contract extension he might be looking for, Morey could fix the mistake Elton Brand made before him.
Of course, anything can happen in the league, but this will be one of the biggest storylines to follow in the offseason.
