EXCLUSIVE: Hamilton ruins F1 challenge during Grand Prix weekend in Australia, “THEY LIED TO ME!” Hamilton DISAPPOINTED With Ferrari Over This!

Lewis Hamilton cost Dude Perfect their challenge after the seven-time World Champion didn’t give a high-five during the Australian Grand Prix weekend. The fun tongue-in-cheek game saw Cody Jones try to high-five all of the drivers in the paddock. It was quite a challenge, given that all drivers are in the zone for competing.

Valtteri Bottas started the challenge off smoothly with a crisp high-five. Sergio Perez proved to be a sticking point, but he eventually obliged to a high-five before Hamilton ignored the YouTuber. Hamilton’s Mercedes teammate, George Russell, was also cautious about giving a high-five. The Brit said, “I need to stay hygienic,” which is perhaps something that was also going through Hamilton’s mind.

Hamilton has said on many occasions that he doesn’t like being disturbed during his pre-race buildup. This method has worked for him during his (nearly) two decades in Formula 1 after becoming, statistically, the greatest driver of all time. The video with Dude Perfect is yet another example of Formula 1’s growth within the United States and around the world.

The YouTubers, who describe themselves as 5 best buds just kickin’ it, have 60 million followers on the platform. Their F1 video racked up well over 1 million views within 24 hours of going live.

Exclusive: Racing driver Billy Monger says ‘Lewis Hamilton told me all his secrets’

Racer turned commentator Billy Monger lifts the lid on his friendship with F1 legend Lewis

Racing driver turned commentator Billy Monger has opened up about his friendship with Lewis Hamilton, admitting the Formula 1 legend has passed on the secrets of his success.

Billy, 25, who lost his legs in a horrific crash when he was just 17, became pals with Lewis after he dedicated his fifth Grand Prix win to him after his accident. And the broadcaster, who became the first amputee to race competitively in a single seater car in 2019, told how the racing legend has even shared a few tips with him.

Speaking on the Daily Mirror’s Invite Only podcast, Billy smiled: “Yeah, we still keep in touch. He was my idol growing up. So just to spend time so close to people like that, yeah, is hugely inspiring for me. He is the best of all time. He has given me a few tips around how he prepares. I can’t give away his secrets now, can I? But I can tell you he writes a lot of notes after every single time he drives. He makes sure he writes (what happened) down diligently after every session. “So, if he turns up at a track five years later and it’s similar conditions, he’s got the notes ready there to reflect on. They’re the details that make you a champion.”

Billy, who is a regular on Channel 4’s F1 coverage, this year will team up with Vick Hope to co-host a breakfast show every day during the Paralympics coverage. It will be the first time the duo have presented together. But Billy, who hit it off with Vick after she watched him complete a 2021 Comic Relief challenge, insisted he is not nervous about how the partnership will work – in spite of the pair never doing a screen test.

He is also hoping that Vick’s husband, DJ Calvin Harris will come out to watch. Billy went on: “We’ve had a few little chats about what we’re gonna be doing together, and we just want to have fun with it. I think that’s the main thing – trying to explain to people at home how great the events are, how amazing the athletes are and to give them a bit of insight. “When the idea of working with Vick was put to me, even though we hadn’t done a screen test or anything like that, it just made sense in my head.

“I thought: ‘This is just going to work’. So I just can’t wait to work with her – she’s done incredible things in her career up to this point. And hopefully this could be another thing that we’ve both done that is a success.” Will Calvin be there, cheering you on? “I hope so,” Billy continued: “I’d be pretty thrilled. I’ve had the brief chance to meet him, but hopefully he shows his face, because it’d be cool. And then he can see what the Paralympics is all about first hand too.” Billy was interviewed alongside Jodie Ounsley for a Paralympics special episode of the Daily Mirror’s Invite Only podcast.
