Malcolm Brogdon sends strong message about brief Boston Celtics tenure

Malcolm Brogdon’s tenure with the Boston Celtics turned sour at the end of it. Brogdon was part of a three-team deal between the Los Angeles Clippers and Washington Wizards that would have sent Brogdon to the Clippers and landed the Cs Kristaps Porzingis.

The trade fell apart late in the hours because the Clippers were worried about Brogdon forearm injury that may require surgery.

Brogdon, who won the 2022-23 Sixth Man of The Year Award was disgruntled over C’s trying to trade him. Eventually, before the season Brogdon was traded to the Trail Blazers alongside Robert Williams III.

Brogdon also explained how he felt with the C’s traded him away — and how his new situation is currently making him feel.

Brogdon’s feeling against the Celtics is warranted. It doesn’t feel good to be shipped away after one season, but at the same time, the trade had to be done. After losing to the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals the team had to make some major changes.

The Celtics traded away fan favorites Marcus Smart and Robert Williams, in addition to Brogdon, and in return, they got Prozingis and Jrue Holiday. Evidently, Brogdon isn’t the only former Celtic who wishes things went differently.

But then again. the fans probably don’t. So maybe Brad Stevens and Co. were on to something this past offseason.
