Former NFL player says prospective playoff team ‘nobody wants to play’
The Buffalo Bills’ hopes of reaching the playoffs were given a huge boost in Week 14 as they beat the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead.
It was a win that moved Buffalo to 7-6 on the season, the same record as sixth seed Pittsburgh Steelers and seventh seed Indianapolis Colts currently have.
With four games left in the regular season the Bills are now firmly in contention for making the postseason, though they have challenging games against the Dallas Cowboys and Miami Dolphins still to come.
And former Super Bowl winner turned NFL analyst Howie Long believes the Bills are a team nobody would want to come up against in the playoffs.
Speaking on the Up & Adams Show, Long said: “As bad as a position they put themselves in, last week’s win was a big win.
“There’s been a lot of internal stuff going on in the building there, but I don’t think there is anyone who wants to play Buffalo in the playoffs.
“The big reason is Josh Allen. I know he debated on many talk shows and people say he isn’t that great – but he is great.
“The two guys you saw on the field last week – Patrick Mahomes and Allen – are two guys who can on six or seven times each do something no one else can do.
“That’s why they’re so dangerous.”
As well as the upcoming challenges against the Cowboys and Dolphins, the Bills also have more favourable match-ups against the Los Angeles Chargers and New England Patriots before the end of the regular season.

Travis Kelce Brilliantly Broke Down His Spontaneous Decision to Throw Lateral vs. Bills
Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs showed fans what was going through his mind on that lateral play in the Chiefs’ 20—17 loss to the Buffalo Bills in Week 14.
It’s obvious what every NFL fan was thinking during the game. But what were Kelce’s thoughts?
On Wednesday’s episode of the New Heights podcast, the two-time Super Bowl champion said he made the decision to throw the lateral “on the spot.”
Kelce then provided a technical breakdown of what he observed on the field:
“Dude, it was such a bang bang… “Like, I caught it, turned upfield, saw the single high safety coming down, and knew I had broken the contain angle of the guy chasing me,” Kelce explained.
“When I broke [the safety’s] angle, I knew it was two-on-one.” “He’s the only guy on that side of the field,” he added. “I knew [Kadarius Toney] was over there from the route he ran, saw him out of the corner of my eye in a lateral position where I knew if I could get him the ball, I knew he had space to score a touchdown.”
Travis Kelce said, “I didn’t talk to Coach Reid…,” to New Heights co-host Jason Kelce’s question on what Chiefs coach Andy Reid said on the bench. Could you image if that got tipped in retrospect? “I could hear Coach Reid saying, ‘Come here.'”
Despite the ruled-out touchdown, Kelce later informed Toney, “We’re just going to have to do it again, big dog.”
The Chiefs tight end concluded his speech by issuing a warning to future defensive coordinators.
“If we get the opportunity again, I’m going to throw that s— right into [Toney’s] chest,” he went on to say. “I’m trusting in 19 every time he’s out there on the field.”
So there you have it—direct from the man, myth, and legend himself. Who knows how Kansas City’s “legendary” touchdown play will effect Kelce’s “legendary” career.
