Good news: Giannis Antetokounmpo Calls Out On Twitter Following Tough Loss to Nikola Jokic, Nuggets
As expected, the Milwaukee Bucks and the Denver Nuggets treated all of us to quite a spectacle on Monday night. Unfortunately for Bucks fans, it was the Nuggets who reigned supreme in their first meeting of the season, 113-107.
The Bucks put up a formidable fight against the home team but in the end, Milwaukee just had no answer to another strong performance by two-time MVP Nikola Jokic.
Only one superstar was going to emerge victorious in this one, and on this particular occasion, it turned out to be Jokic. The Nuggets big man finished with another triple-double with 25 points, 16 rebounds, and 12 assists. He also added a triple, three steals, and two blocks to round out another incredible all-around performance.
Jokic got a lot of help from Jamal Murray too, who with a game-high 35 points.
For the Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo wasn’t bad, logging 29 points, 12 rebounds, four assists, a steal, and a block. At the end of the day, however, it’s the Nuggets who secured a win in this marquee matchup and that’s all that matters.
The result of Monday’s game proved to be an opportunity for some fans to troll Antetokounmpo. While Giannis might be one of the most popular players in the NBA today, there’s also no denying that this man still has his fair share of haters. They were on full blast after the Bucks talisman lost out in his duel against Jokic:
