Green Bay Packers fans react Strongly to the latest Jordan Love Disrespect

The Green Bay Packers are going to have a Pro Bowl player after all! With the San Francisco 49ers advancing the the Super Bowl, Pro Bowl defensive tackle Javon Hargrave has opted out of the festivities. In his place, the NFL has named Kenny Clark to his third career Pro Bowl.

With numerous players withdrawing from the event this upcoming weekend, more NFL players were granted the honor of being named to the Pro Bowl. With Brock Purdy and Dak Prescott opting out of the NFC team, there became a sudden need for more quarterbacks on their roster. Matthew Stafford also withdrew from the event, meaning all three previously named NFC quarterbacks needed to be replaced.

Despite having one of the best individual seasons of any NFC quarterback, Packers quarterback Jordan Love was not added to the roster. Instead, the NFL chose Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield, Geno Smith of the Seattle Seahawks, and Jalen Hurts of the Philadelphia Eagles.

Love’s snub the first time the rosters were announced was somewhat understandable. Purdy and Prescott were MVP candidates all season. Stafford also had a pretty solid statistical season and helped the Rams clinch a Playoff spot in the final weeks of the season. But this time around? It’s inexcusable.

How Does Green Bay Packers Quarterback Jordan Love’s Numbers Compare to Other NFC Pro Bowl Quarterbacks?

Love may have had his struggles during the season, but when it was all said and done, he ended up with one of the best statistical seasons in the NFL. He certainly had a year that rivals or exceeds those of the six quarterbacks that were named to the NFC roster:

As one can see, not only did Love have better numbers than all three quarterbacks named to the roster today, he also has better numbers than Matthew Stafford.

Green Bay Packers Fans React to Jordan Love’s Pro Bowl Snub

Let’s be completely honest: the Pro Bowl has become so watered-down and so many players get named to it every year that it has lost most of its prestige. That being said, it is still important for players in terms of recognition and for when negotiating contracts.

That being said, Love being excluded in favor of three quarterbacks that were obviously inferior to him this year is confusing. Packers fans were quick to make their feelings known on social media:

Whatever. It will give Love extra motivation to outperform them all again next year.
