Green Bay Packers To Sign 24-Year-Old Buffalo Bills Star Weapon

The Green Bay Packers will have a lot of decisions to make this upcoming off-season.  One of those will certainly be shoring up this Packers’ offense and continuing to set up Jordan Love for success.  The young core that surrounds Love currently has gotten off to an incredible start.  Christian Watson (when healthy), Romeo Doubs, Jayden Reed, Luke Musgrave, and Tucker Kraft make up an extremely young but talented group.

That being said, the Packers could benefit from adding a veteran presence or two on offense that still aligns with their unofficial “youth movement.”  That is exactly what one current Buffalo Bills wide receiver could do.

Jordan Love is surrounded by a very strong young core.  Nevertheless, adding a 24-year-old veteran to this team could be huge.  In this upcoming season, the Packers will likely focus on other positions after investing heavily in wide receivers in the last two drafts.

To fill as many holes as possible, the Packers may be best served by signing a free agent like Davis and addressing other areas of weakness through the draft.

Obviously, the Packers’ 2024 salary cap will factor into this (as it always does).

REPORT: Green Bay Packers Defensive Players Demand 1 Serious Change In Meeting With Matt LaFleur

Green Bay Packers defenders are also in agreement with the fanbase that things need to change on their side of the ball. The defense reportedly held a meeting with Matt LaFleur on Monday as the head coach wanted to brainstorm ways to keep points at a premium as the Packers try to stay in the NFC wild card hunt.

LaFleur received heavy backlash online following this decision to keep defensive coordinator Joe Barry employed for the remainder of the season. Barry’s defenses have made unbelievable blunders this season, especially in the Packers’ recent two-game losing streak.

Barry’s defense allowed more than 200 yards rushing against the Giants, something the Packers have done several times this season. But it was his two-minute defense against backup quarterback Tommy DeVito and the New York Gaints that made heads roll when the Packers lost a game they should have won in December.

In a double-digit loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Packers’ defense followed up their Monday Night Football humiliation by enabling Baker Mayfield to tie Aaron Rodgers’ record for having a perfect passer rating at Lambeau Field.

Fans weren’t happy with the loss, and even Packers beat reporters peppered LaFleur after the game with questions about why the fifth-year head coach kept Barry on as the playcaller after several significant failures in the later part of the season.

According to Tom Silverstein of Packers News, LaFleur met with defensive players on Monday to discuss options for the team’s future this season. According to the report, athletes “dodged” queries on whether the defensive coaching staff put players in excellent positions to perform on the field.

However, defensive tackle Kenny Clark stated that players discussed communication issues with LaFleur. Evidently, Packers defenders are frequently confused about where to play due to the defense’s complexity:

Packers defenders are hinting at major problems with the defensive coaching staff. There’s no way to read Silverstein’s report and think the players have confidence in Barry as a communicator or playcaller.

There’s a major issue in the locker room when players won’t go on the record to say Barry and his assistants put them in positions to succeed on the field.

Any fix stemming from Monday’s meeting feels temporary.
