Huge Shocker: Mark Davis, Raiders owner has announced that Star Edge Rusher, Maxx Crosby will not be available for the team after…See Details

Crosby has repeatedly said he wants to stay with the Raiders.

The Raiders closed the door on Maxx Crosby's departure.

Maxx Crosby is widely regarded as one of the most dominant edge rushers in the NFL. As the trade deadline looms, multiple teams have shown strong interest in acquiring the Raiders’ defensive star. However, the Las Vegas Raiders management has some bad news for anyone hoping to land Crosby-and it couldn’t be more definitive.

The fifth-year player is in peak form. In 2022, Crosby recorded 12.5 sacks; he improved to 14.5 sacks in 2023; and through just seven games in 2024, he’s already racked up 6.5 sacks. If he maintains this pace, he’ll be on track to set a new personal best.

Although Crosby is only in the second year of a four-year, $94 million contract, the recent trade of Davante Adams sparked speculation that the Raiders might also part ways with Crosby.

Teams across the league have been circling, hoping to poach the elite pass rusher. But after weeks of swirling rumors, the Raiders’ front office has made their stance clear-and it’s not the news hopeful fans wanted to hear.

Raiders make their position crystal clear

In a firm statement to ESPN, Raiders owner Mark Davis put an end to the speculation“We’re not trading Maxx Crosby,” Davis said emphatically. “Before or after the trade deadline!!!”

Richard Seymour, the Raiders’ new minority partner, also dismissed the notion of trading the star player. “If I’m the Lions, I’d want to go after Maxx Crosby too,” Seymour said on The Adam Schefter Podcast. “Why wouldn’t they? He’s the heartbeat of our team.”

Also, Seymour acknowledged that Davis has a deep attachment to Crosby, which makes a trade highly unlikely. “That would be Mark Davis’ decision, and I don’t see him trading away Maxx Crosby,” Seymour added.

Crosby slams the door on trade talk

While rumors suggest several teams are still exploring ways to acquire Crosby, the player himself has shut down the speculation.

On a recent episode of The Rush with Maxx Crosby, the Raiders’ defensive end reaffirmed his loyalty to the team“I’m not trying to leave,” Crosby said. “I don’t have 100 percent control over it, but I want to be here. I want to wear silver and black.”

He ended with a blunt message for any teams still holding out hope of prying him away“I’ll say it loud and f*cking clear-I want to be a Raider. I’ve said that over and over again.”
