AC Milan Superstar ‘Mix Between Neymar and Mbappé,’ Veteran Defender Says
Kylian Mbappé is arguably the top player in football today, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t other young superstars in the game. One of them is AC Milan standout Rafael Leão.
The 24-year-old is having a good 2023-24 season while helping AC Milan currently occupy second place in Serie A and the UEFA Europa League quarterfinals. Furthermore, the Portugal international has registered 11 goals and 12 assists across all competitions this campaign.
AC Milan’s veteran defender Alessandro Florenzi spent the 2020-21 season playing with Paris Saint-Germain and teammates with Mbappé. The 33-year-old spoke with DAZN and noted the differences between the two wingers that he’s played alongside.
“Let’s say it might even be two different roles,” Florenzi told the outlet. “In the sense that Mbappe lives for goals. Rafa’s characteristics are a mix between Neymar and Mbappé. But I’m talking about the characteristics. The thing is, if he plays like he has been lately, making a difference, he’s approaching that level. And for us, it becomes crucial.”
Leão is committed to AC Milan as the winger has a contract with the Italian team until 2028. Meanwhile, Mbappé will likely be beginning a new chapter in his career when he reportedly leaves PSG at the end of the season. Many expect the Frenchman to sign with Real Madrid and become their latest superstar.

After the game, Pulisic sent out a message on social media addressing the Milan fans as he returned to club football.
