Jordan Love is expected to ask for a $150 million contract extension
Including all the bonuses, Jordan Love has earned himself around $15 million in 2024 after a tremendous first season as the Green Bay Packers’ QB1.
While some folks may have frowned at the amount of money the Packers were willing to pay an unproven quarterback immediately after the Aaron Rodgers era in Green Bay, Love quickly shut his naysayers down with an excellent campaign.
The downside to all this from a money perspective, however, is that the Packers will now need to shell out much more to retain the services of the 25-year-old.
Former sports agent turned NFL contracts expert Joel Corry recently shed some light on what a Jordan Love extension might look like for the Packers. Green Bay does not seem like they have any intentions of messing around, which is why they will reportedly be negotiating a new deal for Love very soon:
That’s a whole lot of money. $50 million per season for Love represents more than a 300% increase from his 2024 salary, which will also make him one of the highest-paid QB’s in the game today.
For what it’s worth, Joe Burrow is currently sitting atop the quarterback rich list with $55 per — a record that could be shattered in the near future.

Green Bay Packers Become Surprising Favorites to Win Talented Wide Receiver
The Green Bay Packers may have all the luck in the world when it comes to bagging elite quarterbacks, but Lady Luck decides to leave them the moment they try to keep a capable receiver in their ranks.
While Jordan Love did incredible things with the young wide receiver room he’s working with, almost every Packer fan understands that they need a reliable target if they want to bring home another Lombardi to Lambeau Field.
Their prayers might have been answered as they recently emerge as one of the possible destinations of a talented and frustrated wideout.
Green Bay Packers become favorites to land Stefon Diggs
Packer Central’s Bill Huber reported that the Green Bay Packers have become a preferred destination for disgruntled Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs.
If you look at the performances of the Packers’ young wide receiver room in 2023, you can see that they were struggling to get things going. Jayden Reed—Love’s favorite target last year—only had 793 receiving yards to his name.
What Stefon Diggs will bring to the team is the necessary experience and mentality to be successful in the National Football League. Despite his up-and-down form last season, Diggs still managed to haul in 1183 receiving yards and 8 touchdowns.
What makes the situation even more ideal for Diggs is the salary cap situation in Green Bay. Since there aren’t a lot of elite wideouts in the squad, the Green Bay Packers can shoulder the $28 million cap hit his contract will bring.
If Brian Gutekunst manages to successfully bring Diggs over, the Green Bay Packers will immediately become one of the most dangerous teams in the NFL.
