An Unbelievable Trade Deal by Tottenham Hotspur that continues to astound many Superstars to this day
Tottenham Hotspur star Dejan Kulusevski has named Gareth Bale as the fifth-best winger in the history of the Premier League.
During his tenure at Spurs, the Welshman established himself as one of the top players in the country. He was at White Hart Lane for six years until joining Real Madrid in 2013. Tottenham paid a then-world record £85.3 million for him (BBC).
Tottenham’s Dejan Kulusevski raves about Gareth Bale
Dejan Kulusevski is currently one of the top wingers in the Premier League, so who better to rank the greatest wide players in the competition’s history?
The Swede spoke on TNT Sports this week for a piece in which the broadcaster asked him to select the five best wingers in Premier League history.
There are certainly many possibilities, but Kulusevski began with a Tottenham legend – Gareth Bale. He put him in fifth place.
“The fifth player is Gareth Bale because his body was (I’ve) never seen anything like that before,” the 23-year-old remarked.
“He had an unbelievable shot, he was very fast, good with the ball, played in a lot of positions, scored a lot of goals, unbelievable left foot, unbelievable player!”

Do you consider Gareth Bale to be one of the all-time greats when you think of him?
The Welshman, who announced his retirement in January of this year, was a revelation for Real Madrid after joining them from Tottenham Hotspur in 2013.
He helped the Galacticos win 18 trophies, including five Champions League titles, with 106 goals and 67 assists.
Despite this, Bale was frequently chastised and booed by crowds at the Santiago Bernabeu, which is a travesty. He simply did not receive the recognition he deserved in Spain.
Bale has retired, but we’re sure he’d have liked to play for Tottenham under Ange Postecoglou.
