Packers As Suitor For Dynamic Jordan Love Weapon
Over the last two weeks, Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers have begun the process of turning their season around. While they still have a long way to go to make the playoffs, there are significant signals of hope for fans who had been very unhappy.
After trading Aaron Rodgers to the New York Jets during this season, the Packers started the 2023 NFL season slowly. They began with a big win over the Chicago Bears in Week 1, but then lost five of their next six games. They had a 2-5 record at that stage in the season, and everyone was writing them off.
Over the last two games, the Packers have defeated the Los Angeles Chargers and Detroit Lions. Both of those teams are good football teams, but Green Bay looked very confident and very dominant.
ESPN analyst Matt Miller believes the Packers should try to draft LSU wide receiver Malik Nabers in the 2024 NFL Draft if he is available.
Nabers would be a massive get for the Packers if they are able to draft him. He has put together another massive season at LSU, racking up 86 receptions for 1,546 yards and 14 touchdowns. Standing in at 6-foot-0 and 200 pounds, Nabers would be an ideal fit for the offense and Love.
It will be interesting to see what the Packers decide to do moving forward. They have been non-committal on Love to this point. His play recently may have changed that, but no one can truly know what the Green Bay front office is thinking.
Outside of the quarterback position, the franchise will have some decisions to make at running back. Both Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon could be on the move in the offseason. Jones simply hasn’t been able to stay healthy and Dillon’s effectiveness has been poor to say it lightly.
Expect to see the Packers look to get aggressive in the offseason. They could end up making a playoff push, but even if they don’t fans should be very excited about the future.

Hottest seat on each NFC team: Buns burning for these four head coaches
Even the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys – two of the NFL’s best teams – have hot seats. No seats, however, may be more sizzling than those occupied by two head coaches in the NFC South, one in the NFC North and another (surprisingly) in the NFC West.
Here is the hottest seat on each NFC team as determined by Yardbarker NFL writers.
Trevon Diggs, cornerback: Diggs suffered a season-ending ACL injury in September. DaRon Bland, his replacement, has set an NFL record with five pick-sixes. There’s no chance Bland can return to slot corner in 2024, so the spotlight will be on Diggs as the likely replacement for Stephon Gilmore at left cornerback next season.
Jones, who is out for the season due to an ACL injury, has no way of preventing the Giants from selecting a quarterback early in the QB-rich 2024 NFL Draft. New York can (and will) terminate his $160 million deal in 2025.
Quez Watkins, Philadelphia’s supposed No. 3 receiver, has only four catches for 21 yards. Olamide Zaccheaus and Julio Jones combined for 132 yards receiving and three touchdowns despite missing five games due to hamstring injuries.
Josh Harris, the owner: He handled the contentious “Process” as the owner of the Philadelphia 76ers. When “I’m not Dan Snyder” no longer works, he’ll need a new approach this offseason. The Commanders are 4-8 in his first season as a team owner.
The inconsistent Murray has five more games this season to prove to a new front office and coaching staff that he is the long-term answer at quarterback. If he doesn’t show them what they want to see, the Cardinals have the draft capital (including two first-round picks) to land a franchise quarterback at the top of the QB-rich 2024 NFL Draft.
At his peak, he was one of the best offensive players in the league, but age (30) and injuries (appearing in 16 of a possible 28 games the past two seasons) have hurt his production. He has been a non-factor over the past five games (12 catches for 127 yards) while young receivers Puka Nacua and Tutu Atwell have stepped up.
