Alabama QB Ty Simpson crafting his passing mechanics ahead of spring practice
A new head coach and new offensive coordinator brings competition for Alabama’s offense.
Alabama 4-Star WR target Travis Smith Jr. cuts recruitment down
Smith is a 2025 four-star recruit out of Westlake High School in Atlanta, Georgia. His more than 35 college football offers are now a top eight with Alabama, Auburn, Colorado, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Ole Miss, Oklahoma and Tennessee making the cut for Smith.
Alabama hosted Smith for a visit last weekend for Junior Day and impressed the four-star.
“They are one of my top schools, so we will see,” Smith said. “They have came up to my school a few times, so we will see in the coming months when I make a decision”
The Georgia product is a bigger wide receiver at 6-foot-4 and approximately 200 pounds. His size and athleticism allow him to strive in jump-ball situations and when he is called upon to catch in traffic.
Smith finished his junior season with 43 receptions for 843 yards and 11 touchdowns.
