De Zerbi has two players in mind if he swaps Brighton for Bayern – Including current Seagulls player

Brighton and Hove Albion manager Roberto De Zerbi is a big fan of Bologna’s Riccardo Calafiori and would even like to take him to Bayern Munich if he ends up there.

That’s according to Calciomercato.it, who say that the Italian coach would also like to take Valentin Barco to Munich if given the opportunity.

CM.it explain that Calafiori is being targeted by a host of clubs this summer after impressing for Bologna, who have been one of the revelations of Serie A.

Juventus are one of the clubs looking at him and there are suitors in the Premier League, including Brighton.

Their interest comes from Roberto De Zerbi, who is a big fan of the Italian defender and would like to sign him this summer.

Indeed, he even intends to ask for the signing of Calafiori or Valentin Barco from Brighton this summer if he were to be hired by Bayern Munich as their next manager.

They need a reinforcement at left-back and it seems he’s targeting either Calafiori or Barco from Brighton to resolve the issue.

The defender, for his part, would prefer to stay in Serie A and his dream is to receive a call from Daniele De Rossi at Roma as that’s the club he grew up supporting and would love to play for.

Inter Milan, Everton, Brighton & Wolfsburg Keen On €6M Rated Japan International

Inter Milan, Everton, Brighton and Hove Albion, and Wolfsburg are all keen on AZ Alkmaar wingback Yukinari Sugawara.

This according to Sky Sports Deutschland reporter Florian Plettenberg. He named the quartet of clubs as suitors who would like to sign the 23-year-old Japanese international this summer in a Tweet.

Sugawara has been in very good form for AZ this season.

Playing off the right flank, the 23-year-old has scored four goals and made eight assists. He has played in forty matches across all competitions for AZ.

Sugawara is a pacey player who is well-suited to a very attacking full-back role. He also has the right characteristics to play at a wingback in a system with a back three.

Inter, Everton, Brighton & Wolfsburg All Keen On Yukinari Sugawara

There is therefore a sense that AZ will have a hard time keeping hold of Sugawara.

The only question is where the 23-year-old – who joined AZ’s youth system from Nagoya Grampus in 2019 – will go.

And according to Plettenberg, there are four teams in particular who are very much tracking Sugawara.

Two are in the Premier League. Plettenberg reports that both of Everton and Brighton see the Japanese international as a target.

Then, there is Wolfsburg, who would like to bring Sugawara to the Bundesliga.

And lastly, Plettenberg also reports that Inter are keen on the Japanese international.

This would seemingly be contingent on Denzel Dumfries leaving.

The Dutchman’s future is currently very much up in the air. He is out of contract with Inter at the end of June of next year.

And the Nerazzurri would aim to sell Dumfries should he not extend his deal.

And Sugawara could be on the Nerazzurri’s list of prospective replacements should they sell the Dutchman.

Plettenberg report that a fee for the 23-year-old would be around 6 million.
