Latest Updates: Reynaldo Lopez Lands on Injured List, Crowded NL Wild Card Race, More

Fortunately, the news of Lopez landing on the injured list was somewhat expected. He likely is getting ample time to return to 100% rather than this being a source of long-term concern. A bigger concern for the Braves at the moment seems to be how to get the outfield to be more productive. While the return of Michael Harris II is hopefully on the horizon, this portion of the Braves schedule needs immediate results. Hopefully, with the Braves seeing multiple Brewers pitchers for the second time in mere days this week, better results will come.

Another big reason the Braves need more productivity from their outfield, and the offense as a whole, is that the NL Wild Card race continues to get more and more crowded. While Atlanta may feel they still have a shot at the division crown, they badly need a good stretch of winning to really secure their spot in the NL playoff picture.
