Loggerhead: 76ers Veteran and Nick Nurse locked in contention over critical decisions affecting the team, this might be the end of the road for sixers’ HC…..

Kelly Oubre Jr. and Nick Nurse have just finished their first year with the Philadelphia 76ers.
Oubre averaged 15.4 points and 5 rebounds during his inaugural season with the 76ers, while Nurse has seemingly built a strong chemistry with his players and has enjoyed his time as head coach.
Speaking about Nurse, Oubre had nothing but praise.
“He’s the best coach I’ve played for, straight up,” Oubre said, according to PHLY Sixers via NBACentral.
That is some high praise from Oubre, considering he’s played for multiple big-name coaches.
He has been guided by Scott Brooks, Monty Williams, Steve Kerr, and others during his eight years in the NBA.
But Oubre believes that Nurse is better than all of them.
Nurse was tasked with a very tough job when he took the position of head coach last summer.
The team had just lost in the playoffs and was on the verge of parting ways with James Harden.
The future seemed uncertain but the Sixers’ plans were clear: they wanted postseason dominance.
They didn’t get it this year, partly because they lost Joel Embiid for so many games.
But there are still many people who feel the future is bright in Philadelphia.
The team has some money to play with and is likely going to try to add more talent to the roster this summer.
Many fans consider this season to be a transitional one and think that 2024–25 will be better for the 76ers.
Will Oubre be with the team in the future?
He signed a one-year contract with Philadelphia last summer, so they will need to work out a new deal with him if they want to retain him.
Oubre obviously loves playing for Nurse but his time with the coach could be coming to an end.
