AC Milan striker Olivier Giroud is reportedly in discussions with LAFC regarding a possible transfer this summer. Consequently, the Serie A team will likely seek a replacement, and an agent representing a Paris Saint-Germain player is prepared to propose his client.

This week, Gonçalo Ramos’ name entered the rumor mill as Atlético Madrid are sniffing around the situation. However, the Spanish club might not be alone in potentially pursuing the former SL Benfica star.

Calcio Mercato reports that if Giroud leaves AC Milan, Jorge Mendes is ready to propose Ramos to replace the French striker. The outlet notes that the Italian club’s leaders are using this FIFA break to identify targets to replace the veteran goal scorer.

In November, the French champions confirmed their activation of the clause, agreeing to pay the Portuguese giants a potential €80 million, including add-ons, and securing him with a contract until 2028, according to GOAL.

During the previous season, he tallied 27 goals and 12 assists in 47 appearances across all competitions as Benfica claimed their 38th league title in 2022-23.

Paris Saint-Germain recently saw left-back Nuno Mendes and the Portugal international even scored in the 6-2 win over Montpellier on Sunday. However, could his injury history still push the Parisians to find another left-back?

Lucas Hernandez played the left-back position in Mendes’ absence, but the capital might be looking for a specific player whose primary position is that position. Furthermore, it might be a player that Hernandez is familiar with.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (h/t Sport.fr), PSG holds interest in AC Milan’s Theo Hernandez. Previously on the radar of the Parisian club, the French international could potentially join the capital side and reunite with his brother, Lucas, who also plays for PSG.

In terms of finances, AC Milan has set the price for acquiring the French defender at €100 million. Although the Ligue 1 giants likely value the player, it’s hard to envision them paying that amount for Theo. PSG will probably eye a left-back to backup or compete with Mendes, but it’s one that comes at a more economical price.
