Nuggets’ Star Reggie Jackson: Late addition to Injury Report for Thursday’s Game

Jackson is listed as questionable for Thursday’s game versus the Grizzlies due to a skin lesion.

Jackson is in danger of missing his first game this season Thursday due to a skin lesion. If the veteran guard is ruled out, Jalen Pickett could receive increased minutes as Denver’s backup point guard behind Jamal Murray.

Despite winning their last five games in a row, the Denver Nuggets are still having some unusually awful luck.

Nuggets guard Reggie Jackson was unexpectedly added to the team’s injury list prior of Thursday’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies. Jackson’s status has been upgraded to “questionable” because to… a skin lesion.

The team provided no additional information about the nature of Jackson’s problem. But you practically never see a player with a skin lesion (which may be anything from a sunburn or acne to a blister or a rash) on the injury report.

This is the second strange injury concern that has arisen for a Nuggets player this week. The team announced on Wednesday that forward Aaron Gordon will be absent for an extended period of time due to a nasty dog bite.

Jackson, for his part, is averaging 12.5 points and 4.4 assists per game this season off the bench for Denver (with a few fill-in starts thrown in when Jamal Murray was hurt). Hopefully, he’ll be able to apply some Neutrogena and be good to go.
