Stephen Curry and wife Ayesha welcome their fourth child and second son, Caius Chai: ‘Our sweet baby boy decided to make an early arrival!’
Caius Chai Curry, the hero of the Golden State Warriors, was born on May 11. His parents, Stephen Curry and Ayesha, made the announcement.
“Our darling baby boy made the decision to arrive early!” The four-time NBA champion posted a message on Instagram with a picture of the baby’s hand in it. We are at last settling in at home as a family of six, and he is doing fantastic! Really appreciative!
Although it’s unclear when Caius was originally expected, the couple’s first three kids were born in July, which is the busiest month for the NBA summer. Riley Elizabeth, the eldest daughter, was born in July of 2012; Ryan, the daughter, was born three years later; and Canon, the first son, was born in 2018.
Stephen Curry, the brother of Charlotte Hornets reserve Seth and the son of former NBA star Dell, is going into his 16th season and is already the most prolific 3-point shooter in league history. Curry has won four NBA championships, been selected as an All-Star ten times, been named the NBA Finals MVP twice, and been named the Most Valuable Player twice.
When Curry was a youngster, his father was performing at a church in Charlotte, North Carolina, when he first met Ayesha. In the end, the couple was married in July 2011.

The Currys are renowned for being highly involved in politics, the church, and charitable giving.
In fact, Stephen is already considering a future in politics after his time in the NBA is up.
When asked if he might see himself running for president someday, Curry told CBS Mornings in March, “Maybe, I have an interest in leveraging every part of my influence for good in the way that I can.”
“Well, if that’s the approach, then—I won’t say the presidency—if politics offers a means of bringing about significant change, or if there are other options outside of politics.”
Curry was promoting I Am Extraordinary, a new children’s book he wrote in an attempt to instill in young readers a value for who they are as distinct individuals.

He wouldn’t be the first basketball player to enter the political sphere.
The former journeyman center for the New York Knicks, Enes Kanter Freedom, intends to run for office in 2028 when he becomes eligible. Bill Bradley, a legendary member of the team, was a famous US senator from New Jersey from 1979 to 1997.
In 2000, Bradley even entered the presidential race, but he was ultimately defeated by Vice President Al Gore in the primary.
Curry and his spouse Ayesha have a strong charitable involvement and have sponsored initiatives to aid undernourished adolescents in the Bay Area and children in Oakland schools who receive insufficient funding.
Additionally, he supports racial equality, which angered many conservatives in 2021 when he kneeled while wearing a “Black Lives Matter” t-shirt during the playing of the national anthem.

When Curry openly acknowledged he didn’t want to visit the White House following the second of his four NBA victories earlier that year, he notoriously enraged then-President Donald Trump.
Traditionally, championship teams are welcomed to the White House. However, after two-time MVP Stephen Curry publicly attacked the divisive President, Curry’s Warriors were not invited.
“For a championship team, visiting the White House is regarded as a great honor,” Trump tweeted. “Stephen Curry’s invitation is withdrawn due to his hesitation.”
LeBron James jumped to Curry’s defense at the moment, stating on Twitter (now X), “U bum @StephenCurry30 already said he ain’t going!” Thus, there’s no invitation. It was an honor to visit the White House, until you came up!
