Ohio State football vs. Missouri: Game-Time Decisions for the Cotton Bowl
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State isn’t playing for a national championship this season, but will use the Cotton Bowl to try to end things on a better note.
Friday night’s game against Missouri is about the Buckeyes trying to get the bitter taste of a third-straight loss to Michigan out of their mouths while also setting a tone for the future. They’ll do that while having potentially all but two or three of its best players from the season available as much of the talent has opted into playing.
On offense, it’s a chance for Devin Brown to make a statement as he gets his first start before participating in his second battle this offseason. Most of his weapons are available, but a few more may emerge as well.
Outside of some already known injuries, the defense remains intact with so many having an important decision to make after the game ends. Those decisions will greatly impact the ceiling of how great the unit can be in 2024.
As Ohio State prepares to play its final game of the season, Stephen Means, Nathan Baird and Andrew Gillis look for something interesting to watch in the home game.

The purpose of the Buckeyes’ game against Missouri on Friday night is to both set the tone for the future and try to erase the sting of losing to Michigan three times in a row. They will be able to accomplish that since a large portion of the talent has chosen to play, possibly all but two or three of its top players from the season will be available.
