Padres Reacts Survey: Was sending Graham Pauley down the right move? Padres details reasons for $100M payroll cut

Pauley is one of the Padres top prospects but didn’t get many chances during his first taste of the big leagues.

A lot of fans were excited that Graham Pauley made the roster because they thought he and Jackson Merrill were going to get their shots to be the young studs for the big league club (kind of like Gunnar Henderson and Adley Rutschman last year with the Baltimore Orioles). Merrill has been impressive (.286 AVG, .793 OPS as the every day center fielder) but he’s also gotten every day playing time while his buddy Pauley received just 15 at-bats (.133 AVG, 466 OPS).

Earlier this week San Diego decided to send him down with Brett Sullivan taking his place on the 26-man roster. Was it the right move or should they have given Pauley more opportunities to play?
