The injury suffered by Brighton & Hove Albion fullback Pervis Estupinan is receiving greater attention in South American media.

The reason for this is that FEF president Francisco Egas discussed the 25-year-old’s current position with La Red.

Estupinan now has a new injury, not the one that kept him out of action in Brighton a few weeks ago, according to the national team chief.

“Unfortunately, Pervis Estupinan was injured again; this time it was a strain, not the same muscle injury.” “We’ll have him next year,” says the manager.

Estupinan has missed seven Brighton games since November owing to a muscular issue. That was a difficult time for the Seagulls, who haven’t won a single Premier League game since he was injured.
The player returned to the field in last week’s Champions League match against Ajax, but was replaced after 12 minutes due to an injury. Prior to this weekend’s encounter against Sheffield United, manager Roberto De Zerbi provided little information about his situation, just stating that he was unlikely to participate.

It’s now a matter of waiting to see how serious this new injury is and whether he’ll be able to play for Brighton at the conclusion of the international break.

Brighton & Hove Albion have set a British record asking price for Tottenham Hotspur-linked Superstar

Pundit backs Arsenal to sign Evan Ferguson this summer

Brighton & Hove Albion are expected to demand a British record sum for star striker Evan Ferguson, who is being pursued by a number of clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur.
Since becoming a first-team regular under head coach Roberto De Zerbi, the 19-year-old has emerged as one of the Premier League’s brightest talents.

Ferguson has 15 goals in 43 games for Brighton in all competitions, including 10 goals in 25 games last season as the Seagulls finished sixth in the Premier League and qualified for the Europa League for the first time in club history.

Ferguson has scored 10 goals in 2023, making him the first teenager since Wayne Rooney in 2005 to reach double figures in Premier League goals in a calendar year.

The Republic of Ireland international, who has three goals in eight appearances for his country, just signed a new long-term contract with Brighton that would keep him at the club until the summer of 2029.

However, the rumour mill has linked the highly-rated striker with a big-money exit from the Seagulls ahead of 2024.

According to talkSPORT, Tottenham have chosen Ferguson as a long-term replacement for Harry Kane, who left Tottenham after 19 years to join Bayern Munich.

According to the source, Manchester United and Chelsea are also interested in signing the Irishman, although Manchester City is not currently exploring a move for the striker.

However, Brighton are under no obligation to sell Ferguson, who does not have a release clause in his current contract, and it is expected that a price in excess of £100 million will be required to persuade the Seagulls to sell the teenager.

Brighton owner Tony Bloom believes Ferguson is more valuable than midfielder Moises Caicedo, whom the Seagulls sold to Chelsea for a British record £115 million in the summer.

Since Kane’s departure from Tottenham, new head coach Ange Postecoglou has utilized Richarlison and Son Heung-min as central strikers, with the latter scoring more goals this season.

Indeed, Son has scored eight goals in 12 Premier League outings this season, whilst Richarlison, who recently underwent groin surgery, has scored just once in 11 top-flight games this season and was shifted out to the left side prior to his injury.

Man United, meanwhile, have struggled to score goals this season, scoring just 13 times in 12 Premier League games, with only six teams scoring fewer, and it has been speculated that the Red Devils will look to sign a new attacker in January to compete with the likes of Rasmus Hojlund, Marcus Rashford, and Antony.

Chelsea, meanwhile, have been linked with a move for a new center-forward in 2024, with Ferguson reportedly one of several possibilities on their shortlist, along with Napoli player Victor Osimhen.
