The previous season, Jordan Love led the NFL in the notable touchdown category

The Green Bay Packers were a big question mark entering the season.

As much as the coaching staff and front office had raved about Jordan Love’s development, people had to see it to believe it.

Fast forward to today, and we’re all officially sold, as he had a memorable first year as a starter.

Love was poised and in control more often than not, and he did an outstanding job of leading his team the distance when in a favorable position.

Notably, that’s been made evident by Warren Sharp’s latest tweet.

The NFL analyst pointed out the fact that Love led the league in touchdown rate in goal-to-go situations.

With him on the field, the Packers scored a touchdown in 61.1% of goal-to-go situations, which speaks volumes of his ability to operate in tight spaces and when the field gets shorter.

Love was one of the best quarterbacks in the game over the final month and a half of the campaign.

He was at his best during the Packers’ Wild Card game win over the Dallas Cowboys, and while his final throw of the season obviously didn’t go as he expected, he played himself into a big contract this offseason.

He still has a ways go to to reach Brett Favre or Aaron Rodgers’ level, but he definitely got off to a solid start.

Green Bay Packers NFC North Rival On Brink Of Losing Starting QB Over Massive Decision (Report)

The Green Bay Packers seemed to have found their next franchise quarterback.  Jordan Love proved to the league that he can lead a team into the playoffs and perform on the biggest stages.  Now the Packers will look to build on that success in 2024 by putting even more pieces around him.

However, there is one NFC North team who may be on the brink of losing the one person who many thought was the biggest reason for their success.

Green Bay Packers Rival May No Longer Have Their Starting Quarterback In 2024

Taylor Hartman of Gridiron Heroics highlighted what exactly is going on with Kirk Cousins and the Minnesota Vikings:

During his career, Kirk Cousins had a passer rating of 106.7, 3,010 yards, 23 touchdowns, and 8 interceptions against the Packers.  Throughout his career (which includes one game with the Washington Commanders and 10 with the Minnesota Vikings) Cousins is 6-4-1 against Green Bay.

While the Vikings haven’t found much post-season success with Cousins, he has certainly played well against Green Bay.  If the Vikings were to move on from him and draft a rookie quarterback or target a veteran in free agency, Packers fans wouldn’t be too upset.
