Former NBA Starter Reveals Shocking Story About Warriors Player
In a recent interview with Cyro Asseo de Choch of HoopsHype, former NBA starter Marcin Gortat revealed a shocking story about Golden State Warriors guard Chris Paul. According to Gortat, Paul will “grab your leg or punch you in the nuts” while fighting through screens.
When asked about things NBA players get away with, Gortat said, “Imagine your first reaction is like, ‘Dude, what the hell?’ They smile, and then you’re attacking the guy. However, the referee most of the time doesn’t see the first move. They just see your reaction. So, and then you are screwed, because he sees your reaction. A lot of things happen on the basketball court. Chris Paul will grab your leg or punch you in the nuts too. It happens all the time. So when you set screens, you gotta cover up your nuts and lift weights to make sure your core is strong.”
As Gortat explains it, this is something himself and other screen setters had to be aware of, because it happened so frequently. Paul has a history of questionable plays that many believe are dirty, and according to Gortat, he will also “grab your leg or punch you in the nuts” when given the opportunity to do so.
This was a wild story that Gortat revealed about the veteran guard for Golden State.

Always playing with a chip on his shoulder, Golden State Warriors star Klay Thompson may be more locked in than ever this season. Amid reports about he and the Warriors being far apart on a contract extension, Thompson shared a strong message on Instagram with Tupac’s “Me Against the World” and a caption that read, “The type a energy I’m on all season.”
As previously mentioned, Thompson always plays with this mentality, so this certainly may not be directly related to the recent report about his contract. That said, there is now a major added incentive for the Warriors star to have a big season, because this will likely be his last opportunity to secure long term money in the NBA.
With mutual interest between Thompson and the Warriors to get a deal done, it still feels likely the two sides extend their partnership at some point, but that may not come before the season begins. This of course adds some level of uncertainty, but it might not be the worst situation for Thompson and the team, as they can allow this season to determine what makes the most sense for both sides.
Golden State has accomplished the rare feat of keeping a core together this long, and certainly want to have Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green all retire with the Warriors.
