The World Boxing Association (WBA) recognized American Lamont Roach Boxer of the Month after he won the super featherweight world championship by split decision over Hector Garcia on November 25.
Roach, the obligatory challenger in the category, met the then Dominican champion in a grueling battle at the Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas, and rallied from behind to win a vital victory that elevates him to the 130-pound crown by the pioneer organization.
The 28-year-old fighter used his pace well and put pressure on the Caribbean fighter for most of the battle to win rounds, and he eventually won on the scorecards of two of the three judges.

In the end, Cruz won her second world title in a different category and is emerging as one of the best fighters of today thanks to her great fights and the show she puts on in the ring.
