The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are unlikely to face the Green Bay Packers without their Super Bowl champion
The Green Bay Packers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers both sit 6-7 on the season and are fighting for their playoff lives. The Packers currently hold the final playoff spot in the NFC even after their brutal Monday Night loss to the New York Giants.
The Buccaneers are currently in a three way tie for the top spot in the NFC South (Atlanta Falcons, New Orleans Saints). As both teams prepare for their playoff push, the Buccaneers may be without one of their own Super Bowl Champions when they head to Lambeau Field.
The Buccaneers not having one of their top weapons in a pivotal Week 15 matchup would be a big loss.

Packers RB Aaron Jones offers reason for hope as Green Bay looks to bounce back vs. Buccaneers
The Green Bay Packers have been without star running back Aaron Jones since mid-November.
Frankly, they’ve been without Jones for most of this season. He tweaked his hamstring in Week 1 against the Chicago Bears on a long touchdown catch-and-run, which cost him a few games. Then, a few weeks later, he suffered an MCL injury on Nov. 19 against the Los Angeles Chargers.
The Packers played their next three games without him. Yes, they went 2-1 in that stretch but the one loss was a disappointing one to the New York Giants on “Monday Night Football.”
Looking to bounce back from that loss and perhaps make a playoff push, the Packers did receive some good news from Jones, though. Recently talking to the media, he suggested that he very well could play this weekend against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
“I’m feeling a lot better. I got to move around today at practice. Making great strides, so I’m going to take it day by day but I feel I’m confident for Sunday,” Jones said on Thursday, via beat writer Wes Hodiewicz.
If this is indeed the case, it couldn’t come at a better time for this young Packers team.
Not only do they need to bounce back from the disappointing loss to the Giants, but they’re extremely thin at running back. AJ Dillon, who has been starting in place of Jones, broke his thumb against the New York Giants and is questionable to play against the Bucs.
Third-string running back Patrick Taylor only has 53 career carries and his backup, nine-year NFL veteran Kenyan Drake, is an elevated practice squad player at this point of his career.
The Packers need Jones back and healthy in the worst way.
