Three important free agents for the Green Bay Packers “are probably gone,” according to expert Adamant
The Green Bay Packers were arguably the biggest surprises of the recently completed season. Early on in the campaign, this team didn’t even look like they were going to be competitive. They stepped it up in a major way, though, and it was only a heartbreaking loss to the San Francisco 49ers in the Divisional Round that prevented them from competing for the NFC title.
Much like every other offseason, though, changes are going to be inevitable for Green Bay this summer. While they might be able to keep most of the key players they had in what turned out to be a very impressive campaign, the Packers are likely to lose a handful of members of their squad in free agency.
Salary cap expert Ken Ingalls recently pointed out a very interesting factoid about Green Bay’s personnel decisions of late. According to Ingalls, the fact that the Packers have yet to extend the deals of Darnell Savage, Yosh Nijman, and Keisean Nixon likely means that they have no intention of doing so:
This makes a lot of sense, and as Ingalls put it, all three players are “likely gone” given Green Bay’s current cap situation.
