According to Jeremy Fowler’s report on Wednesday, Deshaun Watson still wants to leave Houston and is considering a move to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers or the Minnesota Vikings before the 2022 season. According to Fowler, based on what he heard in NFL circles during Super Bowl week, those two organizations are on Watson’s “radar” since he began examining prospective matches for his talents.

Following Tom Brady’s retirement, the Buccaneers’ current quarterback position for the 2022 season features 11-year veteran Blaine Gabbert and second-year rookie Kyle Trask, the latter of whom was a second-round pick from Florida as the No. 64 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero, Gabbert is poised to become a free agent in March, while Tampa Bay is “high on” Trask.

Kirk Cousins is in his final season with the Vikings and will be a free agency in 2023.

The Texans are allegedly hoping to receive bids for Watson on March 16th, the commencement of NFL free agency. Last season, the former Clemson quarterback did not play due to his involvement in 22 sexual harassment complaints. A Watson trade might provide the Texans with a plethora of future assets.

“Some clarity on the legal front is coming in the next several weeks,” Tom Pelissero remarked. “Several teams are willing to offer three first-round picks or more in exchange for Watson’s return before the trade deadline.” The (Miami) Dolphins, (Carolina) Panthers, and others are expected to participate.”

According to ProFootballTalk, the grand jury’s conclusions in the criminal probe involving Watson might be released in early spring. Watson’s agent, David Mulugheta, is “super confident” in the outcome of the case.

“There’s legal reasons we can’t expound on it right now the way we’d like to,” Mulugheta said earlier this year in an interview with ESPN’s Ryan Clark, according to the Houston Chronicle. “But one thing I can say is that I know who Deshaun is, and I believe that everyone in the NFL knows who Deshaun is.” That’s why the market for Deshaun was still as active as it was. Anyone who has met Deshaun knows who he is. We know what the truth is, which is a wonderful thing because the truth is the truth no matter what. The truth is the truth, whether it takes one day, two days, or a year to emerge.”

If the NFL finds Watson violated its personal code of conduct policy, he might face a suspension. Following sexual assault allegations, the NFL suspended Ben Roethlisberger for six games in 2010. There were no charges filed against Roethlisberger.

“(In) today’s society, unfortunately it’s not about who’s right, it’s about who’s first,” she remarked. “It’s unfortunate, but as someone who is considered… a public figure, you have to deal with certain things.” It’s unfortunate, but we’ll get through it.”

Can Charity Bets Save Us During Championship Week?

Charity bets have returned! We’re attempting to replicate last year’s performance, but four-of-five winning weeks were followed by back-to-back defeats, which is probably too much to overcome. That won’t stop us from trying, though.

Before we go into my weekly picks, let’s go over what we’re doing here. This is entertaining. Priority number one. We’re going to put five separate wagers each week, each worth $100 or so (fake, as far as you know). The second most significant aspect (perhaps the first) is that this is all for charity.

Half of all false money won from these fake bets will be converted to real money and donated to the charity listed below. For example, if we complete the season “up” $2,000, I will gift $1,000 to each of the four charity listed above.

If we lose money this year, we’ll share the losses (or donate $500 to each charity, whichever is greater) between them. We’ve donated over $8,000 to various charities in the first three years of this exercise, including St. Jude’s, the Norma Mae Huggins Cancer Foundation, the Ronald McDonald House of Morgantown, the Mountaineer Food Bank, Team Wammer, The Gary Sinise Foundation, and the Facing Hunger Food Bank. This year, we got some old favorites as well as some new ones.

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital – “Through research and treatment, the mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is to advance cures and methods of prevention for pediatric catastrophic diseases.” No child is denied care based on color, religion, or a family’s ability to pay, in accordance with the vision of our founder, Danny Thomas.”

Shriners Children’s Hospitals – “For more than a century, Shriners Children’s has provided hope and healing to children.” Our sensitive, distinguished doctors and care teams are dedicated to providing the best pediatric care possible.”

Potomac Highlands Wounded Warrior Outreach – “Our organization works directly with various West Virginia veteran’s hospitals.” We plan, organize, and sponsor outdoor activities (such as hunting, fishing, golfing, whitewater rafting, and rock climbing) to assist returning war wounded veterans in their rehabilitation. We support all types of wounded warriors and understand that not all wounds are apparent. We are dedicated to assisting all wounded soldiers in enjoying life, experiencing healing, and receiving assistance through well-planned excursions in West Virginia’s beautiful outdoors.”

Mountaineer Food Bank – “The Mountaineer Food Bank (MFB), a Feeding America member, envisions a West Virginia in which no one goes to bed hungry…today or tomorrow.” The Food Bank is West Virginia’s largest emergency food source, supporting families, children, elders, veterans, and others at danger of hunger.”

Any parlay or teaser bets I place will be determined by a parlay calculator. For those who are unfamiliar, parlays are multi-bet selections combined into a single wager. For me to win, all components must hit. Teasers are similar, except they employ the money line (or over/under), and the more teams you add, the more the line can be adjusted. For two-team (6 and 7, although with varying “juice”) and three-team (10-point) teasers, I’ll keep with the conventional 6-point, 7-point, and 10-point teaser lines.

If available, all lines are from Caesar’s Sportsbook.
Please do not place your own bets on my picks. This is just for fun, and I don’t want anyone to accuse me of stealing their rent money, nor do I want to go after you for my cut of your profits.
