On Monday, the Starting Pitching Market saw another huge domino fall.

In most years, once Thanksgiving comes and goes, that is when the baseball offseason really starts to heat up. And this year appears to be the same, with Sonny Gray joining the St. Louis Cardinals on a three year, $75M deal. Gray had reportedly been a very real target for the Atlanta Braves, who clearly have been focused on adding another significant arm to their starting rotation. However, now with both Gray and Aaron Nola no longer on the market, the avenues for the Braves to add that desired arm become a bit more interesting.

Enter the trade market.

While the Braves have been linked to many arms through free agency, there are a few high-quality arms the Braves could go after via a trade. Corbin Bones, Shane Bieber, Tyler Glasnow stand out as potential targets, but the Braves reportedly have already had conversations with the White Sox about Dylan Cease. Cease may be a bit more appealing for the Braves, as he has two more years of control and is a Georgia native. However, he is a Scott Boras Client, and will likely cost quite a bit in terms of a trade package. Plus, many other teams will be in hot pursuit if Cease is truly available.
