WWE Survivor Series: WarGames 2023 Full Schedule, What to Expect
WWE will return to the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois, this weekend for Survivor Series: WarGames 2023. While the majority of the talk revolves around CM Punk’s possible return to the company, the event promises to be an action-packed extravaganza with some thrilling matches, including two WarGames bouts.
Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, Sami Zayn, and Seth “Freaking” Rollins will team up to face Finn Balor, Dominik Mysterio, Damian Priest, JD McDonagh, and Drew McIntyre in the men’s WarGames match. This will be Orton’s first ring appearance since May 2022, but will he be able to get along with all of his colleagues after previous disagreements with former Bloodline members?
Meanwhile, Damage CTRL’s Bayley, IYO Sky, Kairi Sane, and Asuka will team up to fight Charlotte Flair, Bianca Belair, Becky Lynch, and Shotzi in the women’s cage match. Tommy Dreamer believes the match is a “must-win” for Damage CTRL, but whether WWE’s booking team agrees remains to be seen.
The Miz will also have the opportunity to terminate Gunther’s record-breaking streak as WWE Intercontinental Champion. Since earning the gold, the Austrian champion has been dominant, but “The A-lister” is a multi-tie champion who’s recently showed some fire. Gunther, on the other hand, is the favorite to win the match, especially with Imperium on his side.
Finally, Rhea Ripley will defend the WWE Women’s World Championship against Zoey Stark, while Santos Escobar and Carlito compete in singles. Ripley has also been on a dominance crusade since earning the title, and it’s difficult to see her not keeping the gold this weekend. However, Escobar and Carlito will have a score to pay when the former betrayed Rey Mysterio and defected from their Latino World Order team.
WWE’s Best PPV Cards in History
Pay-per-view events may be referred to as “Premium Live Events.” Perhaps you still order them through your cable company, or perhaps you watch them on the WWE Network or Peacock. When it comes to wrestling, chances are you’ve seen a lot of your favorite moments on them. Nothing beats viewing a spectacular event that has been planned for weeks, if not months, in advance for fans. WWE has been putting on PPVs since the 1980s and has acquired a library of hundreds of these shows as a result.
We’ll go over the finest of WWE’s biggest nights below, but with so many to pick from, there are a few qualifiers. First, there will be no NXT-branded specials, which means no Takeovers. Second, we’ve decided to skip WWE’s ECW One Night Stand branded PPVs. We’re keeping it simple with a list of PPVs labeled “WWF” or “WWE,” and trust us, even reducing it down to that provides us with a treasure trove of shows to comb through.
